Travertine tiles can be used in so many places. They are used primarily as floor tile because of the beauty and ease of maintenance. Other areas include bathrooms, counter tops, kitchen back splashes, pool decks, walk ways and patios. Because travertine tiles are easy to manipulate they can be cut into different sizes and easy to install.
Another interesting place to see travertine tiles are in restaurant bathrooms on the walls. It provides a great look and is easy to clean and maintain. I have noticed more and more restaurants doing this to make it easy to clean. Restaurant goers seem to love to see a clean bathroom. It probably makes them think the kitchen is really clean.
